On Tuesday 7th September Longhurst & Havelok
Homes (L&H Homes) will host their 1st Annual General
Meeting (AGM). This will mark the success of Longhurst Homes and
Havelok Homes amalgamation in October 2009.
Over 70 guests are expected to attend
including Cllr Rob Hearmon, Mayor of Grantham and Cllr Graham
Wheat, St Wulfram’s, Grantham.
Sidney McFarlane, Chairman of L&H Homes
will highlight the achievements of the year including;
- 271 new homes were completed
- 298 new homes have started on site
- £3 million has been spent on major repairs
- Royce Road, Spalding was awarded the
prestigious Keep Britain Tidy Neighbourhood Quality Mark for their
commitment to tackle issues such as fly tipping and rubbish,
creating a cleaner, safer, greener neighbourhood.
- The Grove Care Home, Grimsby won the North
East regional award associated with Yours magazine Care Home of the
Year Award 2009.
Mike Hardy, Managing Director said
“as a major provider of housing and care services, managing
more than 7500 homes, our amalgamation has brought the expertise of
the two organisations together, increasing our knowledge in
developing homes, managing estates, providing care and support
services and engaging communities.”
Mike adds “The AGM is a great way to thank
our stakeholders for their continued support. It also gives us the
opportunity to share our plans for the year ahead.”
