L&H Homes raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care

Residents at sheltered schemes Vicarage Gardens and Vicarage
Lawns in Grimsby recently held an afternoon tea party in support of
the nationwide campaign for Marie Curie Cancer Care – The
Blooming Great Tea Party.
The event raised a mouth watering £720 for the
charity.
To celebrate, Paula Hare, Community fundraiser
for Lincolnshire will be presented with the £720 cheque from
L&H Homes’ Housing Support Manager, Andy Wilson and Scheme
Administrator, Peter Graves, at a special ceremony at Vicarage
Gardens on Friday 13th August.
Paula said: “I would like to say a huge thank
you to everyone that contributed to the tea party. Their efforts
will make a huge difference to people affected by cancer in our
local area.”
Peter Graves said “I would like to thank Sue Booth and her
friends for organising the event, all the tenants and their
families, plus businesses in Grimsby, Cleethorpes and the Humber
Bank refinery who generously donated raffle prizes to make the day
a success. We are delighted that we were able to raise money for
Marie Curie Cancer Care who does a fantastic job in our local
community.
