Sharon Leivers

Sharon is the Director of Leasehold & Sales and enjoys a diverse role which ranges from the delivery of specialist leasehold management services on behalf of L&H Homes, to delivering a property sales service across all Longhurst Group member companies.

Sharon has worked in the housing sector since 1983 and joined Longhurst Homes in 1992 from Bridge Housing Society starting as a Finance Officer. Having already gained experience in a commercial and sales background which included the travel and security industries, as well as the media, Sharon was able to extend her sales skills even further into commercial marketing whilst with Longhurst. Taking a number of opportunities to develop her skills and progress within the organisation, Sharon was soon able to take up a management position within Leasehold Services.

In 2001, Sharon was given the opportunity to manage Longhurst’s LCHO (Low Cost Home Ownership) portfolio and was subsequently appointed Director of Leasehold & Sales in 2003.

A perfectionist by nature, Sharon is committed to the delivery of high quality, customer focussed services and engaging directly with customers about service delivery and the development of new homes. She is proud to be part of an organisation that puts customers first - with a rapidly growing older population, Sharon has been a key contributor to the development, sales and management of new schemes in retirement housing, such as those developed by Keystone Developments Ltd, a fellow member company of Longhurst Group.

Sharon finds her role extremely rewarding, in particular, being able to help people find a home where otherwise they might struggle to get a foothold on the property ladder. She also enjoys the diverse and challenging opportunities the role offers, such as leading on the Association’s Service Charge Review and contributing to business growth: whether achieving small scale management acquisitions or taking on responsibility for the sales and management of new properties.

For holidays, Sharon is at her happiest in a sunny and warm destination by the sea that has plenty to do and would like to travel more. With a passion for nature, her biggest hobby is landscape gardening.She also has a love of animals, having owned several aviaries and a large number of Chihuahuas as well as a monkey. Sharon also loves shopping, dancing and pop music but her biggest joy is her family with the most recent addition being her adorable grand-daughter.
