Cranwell Court Care Home- Grimsby
Cranwell Court is a modern, purpose built care home in
Grimsby that specialises in dementia
care. It features 51 en-suite rooms, for both
single and double occupancy. Some of the apartments also feature
kitchenettes.
Cranwell Court care home is located close to Grimsby
town centre and is easily accessible by public transport. Nearby
there are local shops including a post office and a chemist.
There are comfortable communal areas on both
floors, where residents can enjoy socialising and take part in a
wide range of organised activities. Some of which overlook
the surrounding gardens and courtyard. These also have the
added security of CCTV. There is ample parking at the front and
side of the building for visitors.
Although furniture and soft furnishings can be
provided, prospective residents are welcome and encouraged to bring
in their personal belongings. This gives our residents the freedom
to decorate their apartments to their own taste, retaining their
individuality and identifty.
At Cranwell Court care home we pride
ourselves on serving fresh home cooked food that is prepared by our
team of catering staff in our fully equipped 5* hygienic kitchen
(accredited by the Environmental Health
Officer as part of the Scores on the Doors
initiative) and served in our spacious dining room. A varied
menu is on offer and special diets are catered for whether it is
for cultural, religious or medical needs. Seasonal menus are
devised by the senior cook who invites new ideas and suggestions
from our residents and their relatives.
Social Activities
Whether it is a spot of gardening or prefer to
indulge in a relaxed assisted bath and unwind with a good book in
Cranwell Court care home's comfortable conservatory - our dedicated
staff are on hand to make it happen.
We also provide an extensive range of other activities for you
to take part in, including: keep fit, dominoes, quizzes, gardening,
dancing, sing-a-long's and trips out to name a few.
Independent Living
Emphasis is that you are given every
opportunity to make your own choices and decisions on what services
you use. We will support you to remain as independent as possible
and encourage all links with your family and friends. Our residents
are empowered and supported to manage their own finances and
medication as far as possible.
Our ethos is to promote and retain
independence whilst our highly motivated team are trained to
deliver high quality care. All our staff are friendly and
professional. There are staff on duty 24 hours a day.
