Dementia Care

Cranwell Court care home in Grimsby has been accredited by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for dementia care.

We are committed to person centred care, ensuring all our care services meet the individual needs of each resident.  This is particularly important in the care of residents with dementia, to ensure that they retain their life skills for daily living.

Staff at all levels have undertaken a wide range of training to ensure they can care and support residents with dementia, and help them with their varied needs.

We have implemented a range of measures to ensure that our residents are able to live independently as possible in a safe and secure environment.  Ensuring they can enjoy all the facilities of the home without putting themselves at risk.

We have introduced brightly coloured signage using pictures so residents can easily find their way around the home and the handrails have been highlighted so they can be easily found.  Menus and other important information have also been changed and put on brightly coloured paper to help residents with dementia.
