Our Philosophy of Care

Our aim is to provide a service which meets the needs of our customers as individuals – regardless of their age, gender, sexuality, religion or disability.  In addition, the care and support delivered by L&H Homecare aims to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural and psychological needs of the customers who use our service.

All of our customers are encouraged to participate in the planning and delivery of their own care and support to ensure that as far as possible, the care and support they receive, enhances the quality of their own lives.  By listening to our customers and finding out exactly what their needs are, we aim to help them in achieving the quality of life they are looking for.

Our carers are aware that this partnership also extends to our customers’ close family and friends.  Providing our customers are happy for us to do so and they are able to make the decision, we will encourage their relatives and friends to participate in their lives and be involved with planning their care with a view to enhance their quality of life.

To ensure our customers receive a consistently high standard of care and support we only employ staff with a proven history of care work.  We will provide our carers with training on a regular basis to improve their knowledge and skills in key areas and we will encourage them to achieve a formal qualification through the Government –backed system of National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ’S).
