Rose Gardens - Immingham
Built in 1995, Rose Gardens sheltered housing scheme was
designed to provide self contained accommodation for older people
where the residents can maintain a high level of independence with
the security of background support should the need arise.
Rose Gardens is situated in Immingham town centre close
to a small complex of shops including a small supermarket,
bakery, newsagent and bank. Immingham also has a large
doctors surgery, dentist and optician. It is located 8 miles from
Grimsby and approx 15 miles from Scunthorpe.
Consisting of 31 one-bedroom and 9 two bedroom bungalows, each
with their own front and back door, kitchen, living room and
bathroom, the scheme also offers a communal lounge and kitchen
which can be used for social activities, parties and meetings.
The Scheme offers a visiting haidresser, a well-stocked mobile
library facility and milk, newspapers and mail are delivered
daily. Meals are available on application - the Scheme
Manager can arrange this.
There is a Scheme Manager on duty 9-5.15 weekdays and an 24-hour
alarm service so residents and their families have the assurance of
help and support being available when it is needed.
There is also a comprehensive range of social activities
organised by the Scheme Manager and residents which include regular
Bingo, keep fit sessions as well as functions and regular trips
out.
