Shared Equity

Longhurst & Havelok Homes (L&H Homes) shared equity scheme is designed to give you a helping hand onto the property ladder by reducing the amount of money you have to pay up front to buy a new home.

Even though you own your new home, you only pay 85% of its price up front, with Longhurst and Havelok Homes providing the remaining 15%. You then have up to 10 years in which to repay us. The amount that you will repay will be based on the market value at the time of repayment. Alternatively you can sell your home within the 10 year period and take 85% of the value of the property at that time.

During the 10 year period there is absolutely no rent or interest to pay on the 15% share that has been provided by Longhurst & Havelok Homes.
